Job objective

Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, the Marketing Assistant is responsible for sales and marketing related work. This person must be highly creative, and he should be able to market the company and its products.

Primary responsibilities

  • Develop media packs & giveaways for trade shows and conferences.
  • Serves as liaison between the company and advertising agencies, freelance talent, print suppliers, and other marketing services.
  • Assist Marketing Communications Officer (MCO) in preparing company newsletters, press releases and event announcements.
  • Update company news & headlines in the corporate website.
  • Carefully monitor communications response data and other performance and marketing metrics.
  • Prepare event agenda, invitations, registration forms and payments/refunds tracking for customer events.
  • Generate form letters for mass brochure mailings to prospective customers, including thank you letters ∓ trade show passes
  • Assistant will ensure the proper use of logos and brand guidelines.
  • Arrange preparatory meetings for seminar events and trade shows.
  • Coordinate catered events for customer visits & staff events including: dinners, luncheons, beach parties, picnics, happy hours, clubs, etc.
  • Validate and fulfill request for marketing information. Track requests & mailings.
  • Track prospective contacts, seminar attendees, event revenues & expense tracking.
  • Assist in financial responsibilities: estimating, billing, reporting and invoicing for marketing fees and expenses, cooperative advertising requests and documentation.
  • Manage and track the expenses for each event. Ensure budget is managed properly.
  • Establish and maintain a centralized archive of presentations, marketing materials and communications that is accessible to various functional groups internally.
  • Assist in marketing research.
  • Assists in the development of promotional strategies and product development.
  • Create and distribute rollout communications for program updates, product enhancements, direct marketing programs and sales tools. Maintain marketing plan flowchart.

Job requirements

This person must have excellent research skills, must be able to organize their ideas, and be able to translate technical terms into text that any reader can understand.

Job description: Technical Documentation Specialist

A Technical Documentation Specialist is a highly qualified professional with an inherent ability to understand how something technical works. These writers have a technical bend of mind which helps them analyze scientific knowledge, understand it and then further explain it in a logical, understandable manner.

Primary responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain installation, configuration, how-to documentation, and online help for both customers and employees.
  • Manage multiple assignments simultaneously, while working independently and with other writers.
  • Serve as an integral part of cross-functional product teams, this person must learn the products by hands-on experience.
  • Complete writing assignments according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style and terminology.
  • Confer with customer representatives, vendors or publishers to establish technical specifications and to determine subject material to be developed for publication.
  • Review published materials and recommend revisions or changes in scope, format, content, methods of production and binding.
  • Select photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to illustrate material.
  • Study drawings, specifications, mockups, and product samples to integrate and delineate technology, operating procedure, and production sequence.
  • Interview production and engineering personnel and read journals and other material to become familiar with product technologies and production methods.
  • Observe production, developmental, and experimental activities to determine operating procedure and detail.
  • Arrange for typing, duplication and distribution of material.
  • Assist in laying out material for publication.
  • Review manufacturer's and trade catalogs, drawings and other data relative to operation, maintenance and service of equipment.
  • Review and revise previously created documents.

The job of a Technical Documentation Specialist is to prepare manuals, pamphlets, press releases and newsletters to keep people informed about the new developments in the company or documents describing the various features of a new product or machine. Technical Documentation Specialists are also supposed to write and edit corporate magazines and industrial publications.

Technical Documentation Specialists must have an ability to understand well and then explain well.

Job requirements

  • Ideally, the candidate is a former programmer-turned-writer, but they need to demonstrate that they can write. The Technical Documentation Specialist will be documenting how to use our Framework and UI controls to develop commercial-class applications with a professional and modern look and feel.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a technical writing role.
  • Advanced computer skills, especially OpenOffice, including Writer, Calc and Impress. Firefox and HTML expertise is also required.
  • Must have excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Must be flexible and have ability to interact with all levels in the organization.
  • Highly motivated individual able to grasp complex software and learn quickly.

Responsible for all sales activities for assigned accounts and regions. Manage quality and consistency of product and service delivery. Maintain relationships with clients.

Primary responsibilities

  • Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients.
  • Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts. Conduct sales and marketing presentations to clients.
  • Manage new and existing clients of Job and Esther Technologies.
  • Secure and close new orders, business opportunities and repeat orders.
  • Handle business development and project management tasks.
  • Strengthen the business relationships of Job and Esther Technologies with all assigned clients.
  • Oversee the delivery and schedule of clients' orders.
  • Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
  • Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned.
  • Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships.

Additional responsibilities

  • Understand the client's problems and system requirements. Identify and resolve client concerns.
  • Coordinate with the technical team in formulating solutions.
  • Study options and recommend best solutions to meet client requirements.
  • Coordinate and lead internal and client business meetings.
  • Prepare formal product proposals, "Request For Quotation" responses and business correspondence for prospective and existing clients.
  • Submit regular sales productivity reports such as revenue projections, account plans and other internal reports. Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals.
  • Monitor competitive activities and industry developments.
